MTG Monday Lecture/Play-Reading Series will bring academics to our Studio space to discuss the hot topics in contemporary British and American theatre. The Monday series will feature both individual lectures as well as panel discussions. Where appropriate, MTG will organise partial or complete play-readings to compliment the Monday discussions. Monday play-readings and lectures can also help academics who are teaching courses on contemporary British theatre by providing access to classic 20th C. British theatrical material (Pinter, Stoppard, Hare, Osborne, Churchill, etc.) which might otherwise fall outside our theatre’s remit. All Monday events cost $4, but are free to students, patrons and season ticket holders. We will encourage participants to consider making a donation to the Anglo American Fund for New British Plays, if they feel able to do so. Refreshments will generally be available.
